Announcing: Wednesdays at Charlie's Grill in Windsor

I was gearing up to write a blog post announcing our new run of dates with Charlie's Grill at Windsor and while trying to find the write verbiage, I discovered that Zen had already done it for me on a past blog post..."The Music Series: Why Is It Important?" Take it, Zen:

"At Ivy Hill Entertainment one of the tent poles of everything we do is the belief that musicians deserve to earn a fair income. Private Events are a big part of that but residencies and music series' play a crucial role as well. Through our partnerships with restaurants and wineries, these weekly or monthly gigs serve as an opportunity to roll out original material and represent regular income for our artists and just a little bit of stability - a rare commodity in an industry of freelance! Our hope is to build many more of these kinds of series over the next year in an effort to better support our artists." that end, we're excited to announce our Wednesday evening music series at Charlie's in Windsor this summer.

Groom surprises Bride with help from Ivy Hill!

Happy Valentines Day! It's a time for love and to be given the opportunity to provide music at events that celebrate that is a great honor for us. We wouldn't do it otherwise! We are given a front row seat to a most intimate experience -- the celebration of love between two people. What's even better is that through music, a fundamental element of our human experience, we believe that we get to strengthen and complement the bonds between the couple and their loved ones. That is what gets us out of bed in the morning.

Even better still is when you get to share in the experience of co-creation with the couple that you are serving. This happened last May, when the Brian Bergeron Trio (along with drummer Peter Smith) got to 'share the stage' with one of our grooms who surprised his young bride at their wedding by learning and singing a song. We had been in on the plan for months, exchanging demos and advising on arrangement as he took singing lessons...and it went off without a hitch! Check out the video below and we think you'll agree.

We'd like to thank Aaron Lee Films for capturing this special moment. We wish you all a very happy, and very loving, Valentines Day.

We've finally shaken off the dust from the holidays (but boy, wasn't it nice?) over here at Ivy Hill Entertainment and the booking season for 2016 has already heated up. The momentum that we built up over 2015 (including the extension of our family down to Los Angeles) has led to a noticeable uptick on the amount of folks visiting our site. To the uninitiated, we'd like to extend the courtesy of welcoming you as well as catching you up on some of the big highlights of 2015 and to give you a picture of what is to come this year.

First, what are we all about? We're an artist-run event productions and talent agency, booking artists for events and celebrations especially weddings, wineries, and corporate events. Our strength thus far has been a diverse and talented musician roster but our recent expansion to include other creative event professionals means that we can help find the perfect photographer, videographer, and planner for your event.

The most important thing to us is helping to create a track for artists to craft a sustainable and professional living. Everything that we do supports that goal. We believe in collaboration and strength in numbers rather than scarcity and competition. We also believe in our art as a service, which is why we excel in the private events industry. Our customer service experience, gained over our years working in this particular industry is top notch. Folks who have worked with us (and there are many) have experienced this first hand. We are the connectors between great artistic talent and patrons who value art and see its essentialness to their event experiences and we hope to use this connection to create a conversation about appropriately valuing art.

In one short year we've done some work that we're incredibly proud of, including:

...and for 2016? We're doubling down on all fronts and are getting ready to announce some new artist additions that we are pretty thrilled about.

We'd love for you to be a part of this. If you're looking for music or a creative professional for your event, please get in touch and let us know what you're looking for. To all of our artists, prior patrons, and current partners, we are so grateful to be given the opportunity to work with you all.
