Mr. Kind is a balancing act. The Oakland-based electro acoustic band unabashedly celebrates their influences, in their 2012 Halloween tribute to Wilco’s Yankee Hotel Foxtrot and with Mr. Kind & …, which covered indie classics by Spoon, Blur and The Postal Service.
This spirit culminated in the creation of Ivy Hill Entertainment (IHE), co-founded by 3 members of Mr. Kind, to coordinate a community of musicians at events throughout California, including high-profile weddings, corporate events, film festivals, and regular music series, performing an ever-expanding repertoire of music.
Mr. Kind will also be releasing a new EP with a free show in Oakland on 11/16.
